In October we drove from Kansas to Utah... The drive was long and in some parts scary.. but we made it and we had tons of fun!

So ever since we have had our two dogs Aaron's dog has loved to eat our toilet paper out of the trash can, so first we shut the door, then I thought I will put the trash can on top of the toilet, that seemed to work until I went in the bathroom one day and found this:

oh ... I miss the beaches. I told Aaron that if we lived near the ocean I would be a beach bum for sure!
The only thing I didn't enjoy was when
you got out of the ocean you had a salty
crust and a waxy feel to your skin, yuck.
How Florida came about, we decided because
Aaron was going to be down there for classes
and then had a 2 week break before the next
class started I would go down and we would
vacation.I got there June 9th at 11 or so and I was
forgotten about at the airport. okay, maybe
not forgotten cause he did go to A airport just the wrong one. Earlyer that day I had texted him in Memphis
and said "flying into Pensacola see you at 11."
No lie exact words. So I call him when I land and
I say where are you and he says "in the baggage claim"
and I said "ME TOO! I'm standing by the plants by the rent a car."
he pauses and says "there are no plants by the rent a car."
I though to myself great he went to the wrong airport
I will admit I was a little annoyed and I did tell him that.
I said "you better hurry over here because I told you
what airport I was flying into." (the drive is an hour and
a half from where he was)
Lets just say he hurried he also said
" I'm sorry I owe you big you can do and have whatever you want." :)
After that crazy ordeal we went to dinner with some friends
I hadn't seen In a long time. We had the whole 10 days planned
out Florida the 9th -14th New Orleans 14th-16th back to Florida for the rest of the days.

When we were in New Orleans
we went to the WWII museum.
It was actually a lot of fun I learned lots.

When we were done at the WWII museum
we were going to go to the aquarium but it
was closed, So we just walked around.

Tuesday Morning we went to the Aquarium.
Aaron was so excited! He loves Fish
especially salt water fish.

I like him, he was so bright and fast it took me so long to get a good picture.

It took me forever to get Aaron
to stand by this Dino. He was so
cool he made lots of scary sounds
and moved! You can tell Aaron doesn't
wanna be there. :)

Back To Florida,this is our last
day on the beach.we spent 4 hours
on the beach it was so much fun
Aaron is pretty white in this picture,
but as the night went on he became
as red as a cherry!

Wind in Kansas

I left for Florida June 9th came back June 19th. Tuesday June 16th while on vacation our friend calls to tell us there was a bad storm and there are a few branches in our yard but he will go by and clean it up since we are gone. So June 19th rolls around I get on a plane to Kansas, drive 2 hrs when I come around the corner to our house this is what I see. I think to myself a few branches more like the whole tree fell down!!

I guess what had happened was the wind blew it over onto our neighbors car. the only thing he had to cut it up with was an ax so our other 2 neighbors helped him with a chainsaw and another ax. It didn't do much damage which was good and it didn't really crack and fall down it just fell. No one heard anything until the neighbor started cutting it with his ax.
when they cut it up they put half on their yard half on ours.

So, today is my sisters birthday I'm guessing she is 32 because we are 9 years apart. (I know I'm a wiz at math) I just wanted to take this time and wish her a happy birthday because she is truly and inspiration to live up to. She is a great sis, mom, wife, photographer, and many more things.We have been through fun and funnier times like when I had to beat her up cause she wanted to leave Cali early. :) I hope to be just as awesome as she is some day. I love you Lots and miss you!

Where would you build your nest?

Every day I keep seeing this bird fly under our patio and then fly away I thought maybe its a humming bird. every couple days I would keep seeing this bird, then one day I was outside with the dogs giving them lots of treats they don't need and I see the bird fly under and then perch right on the dogs pooper scooper, I never thought once a bird would build its nest in a smelly pooper scooper just who does that? It does make sense though its perfect its close to the house so they stay warm, its kinda cupped so no one falls out. I will let you see for yourself.

wireless internet

So I have good news... once I get wireless internet I will blog more its a promise cause I can sit in my new chaise and type till my fingers hurt. :) So soon just a couple days cause my computer needs fixing the disc drive is broken then I will set the wireless internet up and you will be sick of me. :)

So, all month when Aaron was gone at WLC (warrior leader training) in Oklahoma I painted, hung pictures and pulled molding off the walls in our bedroom. I was so excited to show him cause it was this huge surprise, he always wanted me to give him hints so I gave him a few; you can lay in it and I forgot the other one anyways he thought I got him a hammock but no. So we get home and I'm so excited to show him and we walk in and he says "oh you finally hung pictures on the walls." and then 5 min later "oh wow you painted the room!" I was like wow thinking to myself hmmm I painted all four walls 3 times yeah I painted the room! but anyway he liked it and I hope you do as well.

Down below I took scrapbooking paper and wraped it around a plastic shadow box frame. So easy!!

Can you see the lamp in the mirror? I LOVE them! Just what I was looking for. :)

Dogs

We have been talking about getting A dog... as in singular, one, uno, one day one of my regular guys that I cut was telling me about these pit bulls that were abandoned at his work and the owner of the dog wanted to put them down even though they were only 9 months old. :( that made me very very very sad and I had to see them immediately. My next day off I went and saw them they were so so so very cute their names are Kilo and Bullet, Aaron was gone at some training in Oklahoma so I told him about them and how cute they were. When he got home I took him to see them, he fell in love with them. We told the lady we would talk about it and we would come back. I kept saying both dogs and Aaron said "both??? you want both dogs" I said "you don't, did you see how cute they were." So it was his final desicion to get both or one and he decided both, I got the black one Kilo and he got the tan Bullet. Its so much work having two dogs. They are really good though they walk on a leash Awesome and do anything for treats and food. They like to play fight which can get out of hand real quick. They also love to lay on each other and steal each others toy.

My Bedroom

So I started about 1 week ago priming my bedroom, ugh I will never paint again! So I primed all the walls and when I was finished and going around the base boards I found peeling paint. It was such a great find:) NOT! Anyway as a was peeling some paint off I just decided to take the baseboards off well, that wasn't very easy and I broke one in half (who knew I had HUGEMUNGOUS muscles) So I had to take them all off. I did two walls and called it quits cause it was getting late. finally a day off came around so I got to tear all the other baseboards off it seemed harder then before probably cause I didn't want to do it, I pullled the rest off and then off I went painting, it took me about 3.5 hours to get my whole bedroom done. I'm so happy though I love the color its relaxing and beautiful..
I don't know if you can tell but its a very very light blue. almost white but its so beautiful. I haven't finished decorating all the way I just finished painting today so when its ALL the way done I will put a picture up.
I took the curtain rod down, these people lived very dirty!! That is dust and cat hair. so nasty!!

Home Improvements.

Before Aaron and I bought this house we thought of MANY MANY improvements we needed to get done. Here is a taste of THE list
* Fix Dry wall in garage and paint walls
* Remove stupid Shrub in front yard
* Remove cabinets in kitchen closet (check)
* Repaint, and tile bathroom
* Extend drive way to fit two cars
* Finish my Dresser I started a yr ago (Check)
*Remove/refinish kitchen cabinets
* plant flowers
* extend Back patio
Here are a few pictures

This is the "Stupid" Shrub! We spent ALL day getting One of those out.

First Aaron trimmed everything down. We were very surprised that all the big branches came out pretty easy, but I never thought the root was going to be this hard. I told Aaron I haven't worked this hard in forever!

On our Adventure of removing STUPID Shrub we encountered many crazy bugs.
<----This little guy LOOKED like a spider but had a hard body and only 6 legs. The guy below looks like a Wasp he was huge!!

After Many blows with the sludge hammer and some curse words this monster of a thing came out. I was so surprised how big it was, we planed on getting the other one out the next day but it never happened. We were too sore and had bruises and blisters all over us.

Our next project was really easy. The last owners didn't screw the counter top onto the cabinets so it came off really easy. The cabinets were bolted together with two bolts and the molding underneath was hot glued.... it wasn't hard to get the molding off. :) Now we will but doors on and we can have a Pantry for the kitchen. YAY more storage!

So We bought a new house, I thought to myself now I have to be a homemaker. I was looking through a cook book and saw my mama's cookies.I went to the store and bought all the ingredients even a new mixer, because I would just buy the cookie dough squares and squish them down and bake them, now as my husband would say I have upgraded. I made Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Pecan Craisen Cookies. They are SO Delicious! I took some to work for the girls and they pigged out on them. I was so proud of myself my VERY first homemade cookies. :)
